Date not known.   This is a new photograph, never before seen by the Frenchay Village Museum, but is clearly part of the same set (compare with Page 4)

You may be interested in a photo I have of my great grandmother when she worked at the Cleve Hill hospital. Her Name was Clara Hill nee Stokes and she is the lady marked, in the centre of the photograph above. Interestingly, Clara's mother Caroline and sister Margaret have their occupation as "Laundress" in the 1881 Census in Chew Stoke so Clara must have followed in their footsteps in Bristol.

Clara Stokes was born 7th March 1867 in Chew Stoke and died 27th Jan 1932, buried in Mangotsfield.

She married (John) Henry Hill from Crowcombe ,Somerset in 1890 at St Agnes church Bristol.

They had four children, Hilda, Winifred, ( Dorothy) Clara and William.

The three girls were born in Wales, between 1891 and 1901, which suggests that the date of this photograph is circa 1902.
