William Bawn Addis was born in Hambrook and baptized at St Michael's church Winterbourne on 12 October 1800. William's parents, James & Elizabeth Addis, lived near the Bakehouse and Post Office in Hambrook, and were buried in the Frenchay Unitarian graveyard. James died in 1816 aged 76, Elizabeth died in 1821 aged 63. William Bawn Addis went out to India as an LMS Missionary in 1827. |
