Hambrook's New School opened in January 1911

Back row, last boy on right is Douglas Turner, father of Heather Molloy.

Middle row, far left, Annie Harding and Esmy Bayliss, and far right, Ethel Harding.

Front row, boy in middle is Fred Bayliss.

Teacher Martha Pendock left the old school in December 1910 and did not go to the new school.

Levi Luff took charge of the new school on 11th January 1911 and his wife, Constance Marion Luff, went as Assistant Teacher.

Lilian Elizabeth Lloyd and Florence Ada Cohen were newly engaged as Uncertificated Assistant Teachers.

There were just fifteen children enrolled in January 1911.

The photograph above, containing twenty-five children, is thought to have been taken during the first year of the new school.
