Winterbourne Down Views...

Winterbourne Down looking East from near Whites Hill - can anyone put a date to this one?

All Saints and Bethesda churches can be seen on top of the hill.

The wooden building in the foreground I take to be the Village Hall.

What is going on here?

The excavation is a major work. Are they digging foundations for the railway viaduct around the beginning of the 20th century?

The donor of these pictures thinks they were taken somewhere in the Winterbourne Down area. Anybody got any ideas?
