At the Oldbury Court lodge house by Frenchay Bridge – 1937

Lillian Wallhead (nee Trill) is seen here with her children, Joyce (born at the lodge) and Eric, and their dog Peter Nell.

Their father, John, was a nurse at the Stoke Park Colony.

They later lived at No2 Sunnybank, on Pearce’s Hill, the house that had been the Frenchay School from 1829 to 1843. When Joyce married Ernie Prickett in 1953 they moved into No 1 next door, the house that had been the school master’s house.
