The wedding of Kathleen Wallace to Cliff Lear – 1930

This picture was taken in the garden of the family home, Frenchay. The cottage, which is still there and now called ‘Avoca’, stands opposite where the old flock mills stood until recently.

Top left in the photo stands William Wallace, and to his left, holding a child, is Arthur Wallace.

To the left of the bridegroom, the man in the light coloured jacket is Percy Wallace.

Reg Wallace, with bow tie, is standing behind the bride, and at top right, stands Albert Wallace.

Seated left, Ena Wallace, a cousin, is the bridesmaid.

The bride’s sister Edith is seated at front, second from the right,

while her parents, Rhoda & Frank Wallace, are seated to her left.

Rhoda died 1 July 1942, aged 66 and Frank died 23 December 1937 aged 65.

So far as can be seen, Frank's brother, Ernest Wallace, does not appear to be there.
