Oscar was the Butler at Winterbourne Park in 1911. His father, Joseph, was an agricultural labourer in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire and Oscar was the youngest of ten children. At the time of his death he was working as the Butler at Buglawton Hall, Congleton, Cheshire, where his wife, Minnie Maria, was also employed as the Cook. They had two children – Carl Hector (1909-1978) and my Grandfather, Eric Oscar (1911-1977), who were both baptised at St Michael's, Winterbourne.
